Welcome to the EGNetwork Verification Process!

This verification process (also known as certification) is for EMDR Psychotherapists who have previously completed an EMDR Basic Training course with a minimum of 40 hours of theory and practicum, and completed 10 hours of case consultation/supervison.

Note: EMDR Verified Psychotherapists trained by an institution recognized by EGNetwork and with a recognized EMDR certificate within the validity period can apply for the equivalency process.

How do I become a EMDR Verified Psychotherapist?

  • Verification of EMDR Basic Training, previously coursed by an EGNetwork recognized organization
  •  A declaration of 20 hours of verified case consultation (individual, group or a combination of these) were attained by an EMDR Verified Consultant/Supervisor from a recognized organization, such as AIBAPT, EMDR Africa, EMDR Asia, EMDR ALAC, EMDR America Latina, EMDR Canada, EMDR Europe, EMDR Iberoamerica, EMDRAA (Australia) and EMDRIA. Consult us about your credentials, if it is not on this list. Consultation/Supervision must have been completed within the past 2 years. If you have received consultation/supervision from more than one EMDR Verified Consultant/Supervisor, you will need documentation from each one
  • Two letters of recommendation signed by colleagues who attest to the integrity of your practice and professional ethics
  • Declaration of 50 additional client sessions after Basic Training
  • Proof of 12 Advanced Course credits (CEU’s) recognized by EGNetwork completed within the last two years
  • Pay the Certification Fee

To Maintain EMDR Verification:

  • Maintain EGNetwork membership 
  • Maintain certification up-to-date with EGNetwork
  • Maintain mental health/psychotherapy license or equivalent in your country
  • Declaration/Proof of 12 (twelve) Advanced Credits every two years
  • No proven ethical complaints of misconduct
