Paraprofessional Member Benefits

A member of EGNw who serves in an organization, non-profit, or leadership position who is trained in an AIP (Adaptive Information Processing) low-intensity trauma-informed intervention, but not a licensed psychotherapist.

EGNw paraprofessional membership is open to non-psychotherapy professionals who work in fields that impact mental health. Although not trained in traditional EMDR psychotherapy, these paraprofessionals often face the daily adversity of trauma, healing and recovery. Many AIP protocols and/or exercises are available to them for this purpose. EGNw has a mission to expand access to paraprofessionals of appropriate tools to render intervention and aid.

Included in the list of paraprofessionals are nurses, non-clinical social workers (many countries around the world do not train clinical social workers to do psychotherapy), chaplains, ministers, priests and pastors, first responders, emergency care providers, police force, firefighters, educators, etc. Consult the EGNw Verification Committee about your credentials if you would like to apply for Paraprofessional Membership.

Paraprofessional Membership Benefits Include:

  • Access to training of AIP (Adaptive information Processing) protocols developed for paraprofessionals
