Paraprofessional Member Benefits

A member of EGNw who serves in an organization, non-profit, or leadership position who is trained in an AIP low-intensity trauma-informed intervention, but not a licensed psychotherapist.

EGNw membership is open to non-psychotherapy professionals who work in the field of mental health. Although not having access to traditional EMDR psychotherapy, paraprofessionals often face the daily adversity of trauma, healing and recovery. Many AIP protocols and/or exercises are available to them for this purpose.

Included in the list of paraprofessionals are nurses, non-clinical social workers (many countries around the world do not train clinical social workers to do psychotherapy), chaplains, ministers, priests and pastors, first responders, police force, firefighters, etc. Consult the Certification Committee about your credentials if you would like to apply for Paraprofessional Membership.

  • Access to training of AIP protocols developed for paraprofessionals
